Jerry Cantrel - Alice In Chains

Greasy Groove Inc., has had the pleasure of working with Jerry on his G&L blue dress guitar to be reproduced by G&L (Limited to 50).  The "Blue Dress" Limited Edition is visually distinguished by body graphics designed to Cantrell's exact specifications, including the iconic image of the "Blue Dress" girl which was originally featured in a vintage issue of "Oui" magazine, plus a specially numbered neck plate laser-etched with the "Blue Dress" girl.   Greasy Groove has provided the artwork reproduction and manufacture of the neck plates for these fine guitars.  Jerry has reported that he loved our work and we were thrilled to have the opportunity to work on this exciting project.

ZO2Paul Zabildowsky - Z02
ZO2 - THE BAND - Melding the funk and swagger of the seventies with modern arrangements, harmonies and lyrics, ZO2 is single-handedly infusing the rock world with the energy and excitement it has so long been missing. In stores now, ZO2's "Ain't It Beautiful" (Riker Hill Records) was instantly praised in Metal Edge Magazine and includes songs such as the politically explosive "Isolate," the satirically charged "If You See Kay" and the emotive "Comin' Home." The Brooklyn-based trio is tireless in their support of the release as they bring their personal brand of high-energy rock n' roll to enthusiastic audiences and radio stations across the country, including syndicated radio shows "The Tourbus" and "Eddie Trunk's Show."

Z-Rock IFC

The show is a semi-scripted comedy and is based on the double life of a Brooklyn band, ZO2. By night, they are a hard rock band but to pay the bills, they are the Z Brothers by day, playing kiddie parties.[1] ZO2 consists of brothers Paulie Z (Paulie Zablidowsky), David Z (David Zablidowsky) and their childhood friend Joey Cassata (Himself).

The series is filmed and produced in New York City by Mark Mark Productions.

The biggest heavy metal band in Canadian history! With a catalogue of music that spans a history of over 30 years, the hard rock saga of Helix continues today.

Brent Doerner

Brent was instrumental to the band’s sound right from the start. On Helix’s first independent album Breaking Loose (1977) Brent penned the Helix classic Billy Oxygen. On the first Helix E.M.I. album No Rest For The Wicked he co-wrote another Helix standard The Dirty Dog. Other notable Helix songs Brent has had a hand in writing are Bend Over Kiss (Your Ass Goodbye) Shot Full of Love, Bangin’ Off Of The Bricks, and Christine.

Brent joined Helix around 1975 and left in 1988, after 13 years of having his fingerprints all over Helix. It had been a long grind for all of us, and Brent decided to take a break from the music business. During his time away from music he started several companies which were successful.

Kaleb Duck

Kaleb Duck “The Duckman” started playing guitar at the age of 13. He first started playing shows in Kitchener with his first band, Overdrive, at the age of 17. Gigging around town, he shared a bill with Brent Doerner; Brent told Kaleb he felt he had “it”. Kaleb began writing and recording with Brent soon after that show, and was featured in the outro solo of “When a heart is ajar” on My Wicked Twin’s self-titled album. Kaleb played with many different musicians before ending up in his latest project, Bravura, a heavy metal band from Kitchener. Touring and recording has his hands pretty full at the age of 23, but he wouldn’t have it any other way. Being a diverse, successful musician is the only thing on his mind, so joining up with Helix has been a dream come true!

We are Action

We are Action

We are ActionWe Are Action

We Are Action was born in a small studio on Squire St. in the infamous town of Sackville, New Brunswick.   That a band like this has emerged from this town must say something of the talent in the area.  We are action delivers a zesty sound with colorful tunes laden in catchy arrangements and hooky licks.   Its a mix of great original pop rock splashed with a decent amount of nostalgia and infectious style.

Influences Include:

Guided by Voices, Grandaddy, My Bloody Valentine, Mew, Supergrass, Spoon, Sloan, Brian Wilson, Quasi

Ken Mikalauskas - Vocals, Guitar
Justin Delaney - Bass
Errol Girvan - Drums
Chasity Alward - Organ
Dave Rahmer - Organ 2

Ken says:    ""Writing songs. Well, if you spend enough time alone in a room full of instruments and old vinyl, you eventually begin to write songs.  I've spent more time alone in this state, up till 3am, sometimes surrounded by empty beer cans, working on songs, and then scrapping most of them. "

Errol Girvan (The Peter Parkers) joined Ken on drums and has been instrumental in defining the bands style.  Errol apparently saved one of the bands songs from a life destined to the trash can when he stamped his style on it - Thanks Errol - turns out its a favorite of mine titled "So Happy".

With Justin Delaney on bass delivering some well placed groove, the 'We' in the ACTION was born. Recently, Dave Rahmer from the Tireless Sedans has joined the band as organ player extraordinaire. His contribution takes the live show to a whole other level.

The Toasters

The Toasters

The Toasters Bucket Hingley - The Toasters

The Ramones of the Ska Scene- Performing Ska music around the world for over 24 years!

Ska is definitely back and there is no better proponent than these icons of the scene, The Toasters! They've carved out their own niche in history, amassing along the way a humongous catalog of music, including 15 albums and DVDs, countless videos, singles and EPs and innumerable compilation appearances. Consummate outsiders, they've turned down major record deals from the likes of Danny Goldberg and Polygram and have opted instead to run down their own indie track, with the help of people like Joe Jackson who is Buck's mentor and has produced several album sessions. The band has logged a staggering 4,000 live concert appearances on stages all around the world. In 1997 Billboards lead article dubbed them New York's Ska Pioneers. With their eclectic, instantly recognizable and idiosyncratic sound the group has been branded as the "Miles Davis of Ska" and the "Ramones of Ska" alike.

For the past 24 years The Toasters have been showcasing their 2-Tone inspired sound to the world and show no signs of quitting anytime soon. Lead by British expatriate Rob "Bucket" Hingley who formed the Toasters in 1982 and later founded Moon Ska Records which grew into the largest independent Ska label in the world. Now he's at it again, launching Megalith Records internationally with offices in the USA and Europe.

Buck's bench is deep enough to make Manchester United jealous and this years platoon of elite Ska-commandos is going out as (the power) 5-piece: Bucket, band founder and major songwriter, is on guitar and vocals, Ace is on drums, Jason Nwagbaraocha is on bass and chats, Jeff Richey on sax and Chris Rhodes (Bosstones) is on the t-bone.
