Our etching process is one that impacts the surface of a metal leaving a holographic type impression. It does not deeply engrave the part as those processes after time will start to rust on a plated metal. You can see the effect in our Etched Neckplates section.
Chrome, Gold, Nickel and Stainless Steel parts give the best etching results. The parts must be 2 dimensional and smaller than 3" square. Neck Plates and Humbucker Covers work great.
