Greasy Groove® pickguards for 5 hole screw mount Esquires®. In 1950 the Fender® Esquire® became available as the predecessor to the Telecaster. The guitars was later renamed the Broadcaster and then renamed the Telecaster. The original pickguard was black 1ply bakelite and there was no neck pickup. Originally the pickguard was mounted with a 5 hole screw pattern.
